PhD Overview
Consider an ant walking on a football, it will not notice any special points since all points on the football look the same which is referred to as a homogeneous space. However, if this ant walks on the alpha symbol (α), all points look the same except the intersection which is special and so cannot be a homogeneous space. My research classifies plane curves such as α whose equation is y^2=x^2 + x^3 and determine if they are quantum homogeneous spaces.
