PhD Overview
The focus of my research is global health. My study focuses on developing diagnostic tools for emerging and re-emerging diseases to improve and ease people’s lives. My objective is to create quick lateral flow diagnostics for infectious diseases that don’t require a cold chain and can be used throughout the globe. Most molecular diagnostics can detect a condition in three hours or more. It is best to use quick diagnostics so that a patient can receive treatment early. My study focuses on increasing life expectancy since it is important to improve health globally to lessen the problem of declining life expectancy.
