PhD Overview

My PhD research will investigate and model the combined effects of extreme weather events and land degradation on macroinvertebrate communities, traits and food web structure in tropical peatlands in Leyte Island, Philippines. My research will also develop a Bayesian Belief Network Model simulating and quantifying in terms of probabilities the effect of extreme weather events and land degradation on the macroinvertebrate community composition, trait diversity and food web interactions.

About Me

I have been awarded an Outstanding Government Worker under the category of Pagasa Award by the Civil Service Commission of the Philippines for our impactful projects on the conservation and protection of the Leyte Sab-a Basin Peatland.
