- PhD Title: Development and use of simulated instruments to teach mass spectrometry to undergraduate students
- Year of Completion: 2025

PhD Overview
In many developing countries, access to analytical instruments remains a challenge especially for undergraduate students due to high purchase costs, maintenance costs, shorter time allocation of science lessons each week, teachers’ schedules and the large number of students in the laboratory. With the limitations observed in existing laboratory environments, this project aims at developing a virtual laboratory platform focused on mass spectrometry techniques specifically Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS), High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography and Ultraviolet-visible Spectroscopy.
